Having trouble downloading Horos?
Issues can arise when the operating system or the hardware is not compatible with the version of Horos you are using. The following steps may help:
Do you have an older computer or operating system, and the latest version of Horos is not working?
Try deleting the latest version and downloading an older version of Horos, listed above.
You have a new computer with the latest hardware (M1, M2, or M3 chips) and operating system, and Horos is crashing?
If you have a new Mac computer, you should be downloading the latest version of Horos found at the top of the download page accessible here. If you are still having issues, try one or both of the solutions below:
1. Replace the Horos Plugin by replacing the file directly in the plugins folder:
– Go to the library folder on your computer: user/library/application support/Horos/plugins
– Delete the file: HorosCloud.horosplugin
– Replace with the plugin file found here
2. Replace the Horos Plugin by replacing within Horos:
– Close the prompt to replace the plugin upon opening
– Navigate to Plugins (located in the top menu in between ‘ROI’ and ‘Recent Studies’)
– In the dropdown, select ‘manage plugins’
– When the window pops up, click the upper left tab, ‘Installed Plug-Ins’ (if not already selected)
– Select and delete the existing Horos Cloud Plugin
– In the same window, navigate to the center tab, “Horos Plugins” where there will be an option to download the latest version of the Horos Cloud Plugin.
– Click ‘Download and Install’ (bottom right)
– Restart Horos
